Yesterday i bought a whole roast duck, and some roast pork with BBQ pork. The quality of the duck dropped dramatic. It was using frozen duck, duck meat tasteless all it was seasoning taste, not like the duck they used before, roast pork never.had good cracking skin, BBQ pork yesterday's the best one, but it wasn't excellent.
I think that there has a good chef but he was limited buy the owner try to lower the food cost to make higher profit margin, so they are using some cheaper and poor quality ingredients and short cut to cook, because roast pork if it is cooked from the proper way, it will has fully cracking skin and won't go soft even though put it in the fridge, eat it next day, (I bought roast pork, roast duck and BBQ pork several time there before)
I'm Chinese and my brother was a retired chef, so we couldn't be fooled. We know what is good guality food, that was why we don't go to Chinese restaurants, but only yumcha some times, because most of Chinese restaurants are using poor quality ingredients, they just using msg to cover the quality, Yesterday it was Chinese New Year eve, we love Chinese roast so we got the take away roast duck from this restaurant again, because before it was good, but yesterday they used frozen one...🥺👎
